LG GD910 touchscreen watch phone

Orange UK have announced pricing for the LG GD910 touchscreen watch phone, the wrist-worn handset that went on sale in France earlier this month.  The handmade device will be priced at £500 ($826) and only available for a limited period; units will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The GD910 will be launched initially at Orange’s flagship London store, the Bond Street Station branch, at 9am on August 27th.  Then, in September, a limited number of devices will be sold via the carrier’s website.

As for functionality, you’re not particularly falling short despite the size of the GD910.  As well as the capacitive touchscreen, 3.5G and VGA camera for video calling, there’s Bluetooth, voice-activation and a mediaplayer, together with eight different watch-face settings.  Whether that’s all worth £500 remains to be seen.
