HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, (born, March 7, 1955) commonly known as Prince Al-Waleed, is a member of the Saudi Royal Family, an entrepreneur and international investor. He has amassed his fortune through investments in properties and stocks, The jet-setting prince is transforming himself into a businessman-cum-political-activist. Sure, he’s still got his $10 billion stake in Citigroup. But in Saudi Arabia this nephew of the king has called for a range of reforms: elections, women’s rights and job creation. And he’s publicly criticized the state-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco. Plus, he’s a vocal supporter of the U.S.—and has set up centers at universities in Cairo and Beirut to teach the American political system. On his latest spin through the U.S., in January, he met with former U.S. Presidents Carter, Clinton and Bush to talk about what he calls “narrowing the gap between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.”
Vehicles Owned:Infiniti FX45; Hummer H1; Volvo XC90; Rolls-Royce Phantom (pictured above); Daewoo Matiz(pictured below)
Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud is no stranger to the finer things in life. His free-spending attitude is easily seen in his garage, where he always buys a duplicate of every one of his vehicles. Two Infiniti FX45s, two Hummer H1s and two Volvo XC90sall take up residency inside the Prince’s lavish garage. The reason for such excess? The Prince buys one vehicle for himself and an exact duplicate for his body guards. A glimpse inside the Prince’s garage also reveals a vehicular absurdity: Parked next to two Daewoo Matizs are two Rolls-Royce Phantoms. The reason for such an odd placement? The Prince holds a significant stake in Daewoo, the Korean car company now controlled by GM.

David Burke has teamed up with Donatella Arpaia. The result is David Burke and Donatella, serving provocative Modern American Cuisine in an elegantly refurbished Upper East Side space. The restaurant’s design is inspired by the bold colors and lacquered surfaces on the 1930’s, yet it has decidedly contemporary aesthetic. Upon entering David Burke & Donatella, guests will feel the glamour and sense of fun in the lounge with its sleek white gloss, stone bar and whimsical art installations. The volume of color and drama is turned up for the main event, the dining room, where a striking color palette of chocolate, vanilla and lipstick colors prevails.
The main attraction at davidburke & donatella though, is the food. Heads turn as dishes make their way through the dining room as David’s flair for presentation is unmatched only by the food’s taste.
The restaurant is located at 133 East 61st Street, between Park & Lexington.

its acually a place, also spelled Har-Magedon, and is thought to represent the Hebrew words Har Megido (הר מגידו), meaning “Mountain of Megiddo“. Megiddo was the location of many decisive battles in ancient times
Here is a description of one of Napoleon Bonaparte’s battles at Armageddon.
More modern and notable personages have seen fit to do battle at Armageddon. Napoleon Bonaparte invaded Egypt to threaten British India, as well as to possibly duplicate some of the feats of Alexander the Great. In 1799, he crossed Esdraelon on his march to the coastal city of Acre (Akko), on the Bay of Haifa. There he was halted by Ottoman Turkish troops under British command. General Kleber was directed by Napoleon to engage the enemy on what Napoleon’s dispatch described as “an immense battlefield”, which was the Plain of Esdraelon. Further, after skirting Mount Tabor on the northeast of Esdraelon, they engaged the enemy at dawn. Napoleon’s dispatches described the enemy’s movements upon Esdraelon: “Never had we seen such a large group of cavalry do a half turn, charge and move in every direction.” The French troops repulsed enemy cavalry charges from the Mamluks. But, when they unmasked their cannons on the enemy, to Napoleon’s satisfaction, “this host of horsemen melted into disorder and headed for the Jordan”. Napoleon returned to France in August 1799, to forget the disaster of his Egyptian campaigns and, for a time, to become the master of continental Europe.
